Pennisetum 'Hameln' is an ornamental grass on our nursery, prized for its graceful form and easy maintenance. This compact variety of fountain grass forms neat clumps of arching, slender green leaves that sway gently in the breeze, adding movement and texture to your garden. Our head grower selected 'Hameln' for its outstanding garden performance and its versatile use in various garden styles. From July to September, it produces charming, fluffy, bottlebrush-like flower spikes that start off a creamy white and mature to a soft tan, providing visual interest through the seasons. These blooms make excellent additions to cut flower arrangements, bringing a touch of elegance indoors. Pennisetum 'Hameln' is exceptionally hardy and drought-tolerant once established, thriving in full sun and well-drained soil. Its low-maintenance nature makes it an ideal choice for busy gardeners. It looks spectacular when planted en masse, creating a soft, billowing effect in borders or as an accent in rock gardens and contemporary landscapes.
