F1 2016 is the eighth installment of the licensed series of racing games that allow you to take part in Formula 1 competitions. As usual, the production of the title is the responsibility of the British studio Codemasters, with the DiRT, Race Driver, Colin McRae Rally and Micro Machines series to their credit. The fans' opinions collected by the developers after the premiere of F1 2015 played an important role in the production process. The game uses the same graphics engine as its predecessor, introducing completely new game modes and minor changes to the fun model.
Gameplay
F1 2016 holds a full F1 racing license. Thanks to this, while having fun, we sit at the controls of virtual equivalents of real cars and drive on real tracks on which races took place from the 2016 season - including a completely new one, set out on the streets of Azerbaijani Baku. The current team line-ups are also at the players' disposal - the creators did not forget about the debuting American Haas F1 Team.
In the F1 2016 career mode, we start the game by creating an avatar and choosing a team that suits us. Each of them has different goals and expectations towards our character. For victories and records on the routes, we receive points, which we spend on the purchase of further improvements to various components of the car. A special location has also been introduced to the game, acting as a hub. We will talk with key team members, such as engineers and mechanics, and commission them, for example, with new technical projects. F1 2016 for PC, PS4 and XONE also offers fully functional test drives for the first time, which we can take before the real competition. They allow us not only to remember individual tracks and develop an optimal strategy, but also to score points and thus improve the car.
