That means it's perfect for lining a jacket or a nice, fluffy vest, for example. This is how easy it is to make a fleece blanketChoose the colour and cut the blanket to the exact size you want and voila: you have a new fleece blanket. It doesn't get any easier than this. And yes - it's good enough - you don't need to sew the edges; the material won't run. If you want to give your rug a nice finish with a sewn edge, we recommend using jersey needles, which are specially developed for qualities like this. They penetrate the fabric easily without leaving holes. Or how about making a reversible blanket or vest with two different colours of fleece - double up on warmth, softness and use. Fleece dries quickly, is robust and durable and therefore very easy to bring along, for example as extra blankets in the caravan. Practical information about polar fleeceThe fabric is 145 cm wide and you buy it by the metre, so you get the length you need. Woven viscose sand

Light, colourful and a beautiful drape! Viscose is a popular fabric for many fashion designs. It's a light and soft material with good breathability, while also being comfortable to wear.  The beautiful drape is especially pronounced in tops, dresses, and shirts, where even with the simplest designs, you achieve a stylish look. The design is up to you: Does the shirt need a small collar? The top a boat neck? Or are you into ruched details?  That being said, viscose is also well-suited for light trousers. We prefer them with a bit of width in the legs, so you once again benefit from the lovely drape.  Choose from many stunning colours.  What is viscose? Viscose has been used for clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose, for example from wood pulp or cotton waste. It resembles natural fibres like cotton and silk.  Some practicalities The fabric is 100% viscose, is 130 cm wide, and you can of course choose the length you need. Wash at 40°C, iron at medium heat, and allow to air dry. Expect 5% shrinkage after washing.  Remember to use the right needles – we recommend using a universal needle or a microtex needle in size 70.

It is great for all kinds of creative projects where you use very thick materials. Satin ribbon is ideal for almost any creative project, clothing or home décor. Our satin ribbon is double-sided, giving you great results no matter which side is facing you. Satin ribbon is a beautiful choice for a decorative bow on a dress. Attach it to the dress as a bow or decorative accent. Cut a length of the same satin ribbon to make a pretty matching headband. Tie a pretty bow and glue it to a hairband or clip. Of course, you can also use satin ribbon in table decorations. Tie the ribbon around table napkins or use it as a cord for hanging ornaments. To make your gifts extra special, use satin ribbon as an alternative to gift ribbon. If you are wrapping a wedding gift, you can add tulle to the bow. You can also add a fresh flower or sprig of spruce to your ribbon when you wrap the gift.

Javana batik dye sand 70g

Create your unique textiles with batik dying. Batik textile dyes are best used on cotton, viscose, linen, half panama, silk, wool, or polyamide. The screw-cap container contains 70 g of dye powder. Take what you need, mix it in accordance with the instructions, and save the rest for later. The more pigment you add, the stronger your colours become. Use 70 g of dye powder per 200g of fabric for strong colouration. Use 70 grs of poweder per 400 g of fabric for a less intense colouration. This batik textile dye paint is suitable for various dyeing techniques, e.g. tie-dye and dip-dye. Always wash the fabric before starting to paint. Fill a bucket or tub with very hot water (95°C), enough to cover your fabric. Add your dye and stir until completely dissolved. Then immerse the damp fabric in the colour bath. NB: Make sure that the dye is completely dissolved before you add the fabric. If not, the results will be spotty or uneven. Leave the fabric to soak for no more than one hour . Rinse your fabric with hot water. Batik dyes do not tolerate high temperatures. Wash your dyed fabric at max 40°C. Wash separately the first time. NB: To enhance the colours and prevent them for wearing off, we recommend you use our Javana fixing agent. Without fixing agent, the dyes will soon wash out.

Non-woven oilcloth embossed sand

A robust, non-woven fabric with a PVC coating, which makes the oilcloth shiny, smooth and easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. You can easily wipe off foods and beverages from the oilcloth, however, be aware that types like ketchup, sauces, oil dressings, lemonade and the like can leave stains. Always wipe off immediately with a damp cloth, wrung in warm water if necessary, with a little detergent. It prolongs the service life. PVC oilcloth is super durable, and you can use it indoors as well as outdoors – remember to always bring it inside after any outdoor use. Can be discoloured by the sun. Note! All our oilcloths are free from harmful chemicals. With a purchase of 10 metres or more of the same product number, the oilcloth is delivered rolled up on a tube.

Webbing is an all-round ribbon that can be used in a myriad of projects. You can make webbing straps on bags, bumbags and tote bags. Webbing is especially handy to use as a strap or handle on bags, sports bags and shopping bags. Add a buckle or D-rings to make a cool webbing belt. Of course, you can also use webbing to decorate. You can make webbing belts using our buckles/D rings. We stock webbing in many attractive colours and patterns so you can make belts to match all your favourite outfits. If you want to make a stretchy belt, we recommend that you choose our elasticated webbing instead. You can combine webbing with a contrasting/printed ribbon. To create a different expression, sew one ribbon on top of another. Take a length of webbing and a pair of D-rings and you can easily make a yoga belt. Choose a pattern and a colour to get you totally Zen. When you sew webbing, use a size 80 needle on your sewing machine. This applies whether you sew through a double layer of webbing or through webbing and fabric.

Cotton satin - the best of both worldsHow about trying our soft cotton fabric in a range of beautiful colours for your next creative project. It's soft and comfortable to work with.Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven. This means that when we say cotton satin, it has the same beautiful weave as more 'classic' satin, while the cotton quality gives a more matt finish to the fabric.  And what can you use cotton satin for? Well, that’s entirely up to you. We prefer using it for bed linen. The natural material of the cotton in the delicate satin weave makes for some really lovely home made bed linen. As with so many other cottons, it is also suitable for clothing. Cotton is comfortable to wear and the fine weave gives it a nice finish - for a summer shirt or skirt, for example. Cotton satin is also perfect for a tablecloth for the table. Sew the tablecloth yourself or select "Sew as a tablecloth" and we will sew it for you (click on the text for details). Practical information about cotton satinMade from 100% cotton, it's soft and fluffy and, as always, you buy the fabric by the metre, so you get exactly the length you need. You can wash it at 60° and iron at medium heat - but avoid the tumble dryer; let it air dry instead. TIP: Finish your seams properly - satin tends to fray a lot. You could also consider using a wider seam allowance to secure your seams or use overlock stitching. As always - test your seams on a scrap piece beforehand to see which technique works best for your piece of fabric. It has a total width of 10 mm, while the actual piping measures 4 mm.
