Bias tape cotton 18mm leo 3m

Bias tape cotton 18mm leo 3m

Use patterned bias tape for details   When you use bias tape in your projects, you achieve a beautiful finish. Have you considered patterned bias tape? It makes details stand out and makes your project even more personal.     This edge tape is patterned in a gorgeous, matte cotton quality. Use it as an edge on a pocket, around the neckline, or anywhere you wish to add colour and make the finish a bit more special.     The bias tape is 18 mm wide, made of 100% cotton, and comes in a package of 3 meters.     Use bias tape for ...   Sew bias tape on blankets and bath towels. Use it on dresses, shirts, and blouses – and for baby clothes and bodysuits. Let the bias tape act as fine details and beautiful finishes on edges and cut-outs.     Worth knowing about bias tape  Bias tape has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many fabrics. As the name suggests, it's cut on the bias, so it naturally follows your curves, necklines, corners, and edges. This results in a beautiful finish.     How to sew on bias tape  Bias tape is for sewing onto curves, corners, and straight stretches. When you sew the bias tape onto your project, you use straight stitches with a stitch length of about 2.5 cm. As you sew, you must not pull or stretch it. Let it align naturally along the edge to get a neat result.     TIP  When you start sewing your bias tape on, fold in about 2 cm, so it's double-layered. When you finish, tuck the other end's fold over your folded start. The same principle applies when extending the bias tape.

Woven crepe viscose with leo print

Woven crepe viscose with leo print

Stunning in crepe and pattern!  Patterns have a special touch. They add personality and vivacity to your design. Coupled with the exquisite crepe effect, you get a fabric that you can use for a myriad of designs.     Are you into a simple top or blouse? Or perhaps skirts or dresses with a swish in the skirt? Or even flowing trousers? The lovely patterns and the understated crepe effect yield a delightful outcome, especially for the simplest designs.     The elegant crepe effect   The characteristic wrinkles in the fabric come from a heat treatment that disrupts the smooth structure of the fibres, resulting in a refined surface. Creped viscose still retains the same favourable properties you know from the smooth viscose: It's soft, lightweight, breathable, and drapes beautifully.     What is viscose?  Viscose has been used in clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose from sources like wood pulp or cotton waste. It resembles natural fibres such as cotton and silk.     A few practical details  The fabric is 100% viscose, and you can naturally select the exact length you need. Wash at 40°, iron at medium heat, and opt for air drying. Be aware of how much the fabric may shrink when washed.     Remember to use the right needles – we recommend using a universal needle or a microtex needle in size 70.     What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?  OEKO-TEX® is the world's leading health label for textiles.   When the fabric is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, it's your guarantee that it has been tested, approved, and is free from any harmful chemicals.

Quilt for accessories You can also use this quilt for lovely bags, where the waterproof material ensures that your belongings remain dry in almost all weather conditions. Design your own unique look or explore our many sewing patterns – perhaps you need a new bumbag or shopper? About water column pressure Water column pressure indicates the height of a water column that the material can withstand before water starts to penetrate. The higher the water column pressure, the more waterproof. A good rule of thumb is that +2,000 mm is good for light rain showers/short outings in the rain, while +5,000 is for a heavier rain shower or a few hours in light rain. If you're going to be out in heavy rain, we recommend +8,000 mm. Some practicalities This fabric is made of 100% polyester and is 140 cm wide. You choose the length you need for your DIY project. We recommend using a universal needle size 80.
