Resident Evil HD is a thoroughly refreshed edition of the first part of the cult series Resident Evil, which popularized survival horrors and saw many continuations as well as film and comic adaptations. The original was released in 1996 for the first generation of PlayStation consoles. However, the discussed version is based on the conversion to the Nintendo Game Cube console released in 2002; so you can say that this is a kind of remake of a remake.
