Firestorm : The Music of Stephen Bulla by Brass Of The Potomac
Organized in 2008, Brass Of The Potomac is a traditional “British-style” brass band with personnel of over 30 professional and free lance musicians from around the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Its talent includes members of the premier bands from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force. In addition to performances at the Gettysburg Brass Band Festival and Mid Atlantic Brass Band Festival, the band has competed live in the championship section of NABBA competitions on multiple occasions. The repertoire on this CD represents a wide swath of Stephen Bulla’s work, composed across several decades and gathered together here in one place for the first time. The CD includes a full color 12 page booklet with comments from the composer.
